On the 17th August IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale will defend his title against Great Britain's Darren Barker.

In his first world title fight against 160lbs king and WBC champion Sergio Martinez, Barker fell just short, suffering his first defeat in a courageous effort against the Argentinian.

Since that fight Barker has won his last 2 fights in style. Stopping both opponents in the fourth round.

Daniel Geale won the IBF title 2 years ago and has made four defences to date. Most notably against a declining Felix Sturm. His last fight was against countryman Anthony Mundine. Whom he outpointed and avenged his only loss on his record.

Just reading what Darren Barker has been through, I feel no one deserves it more than him. Getting his career back on track, I just feel Darren is so hungry for this second chance at a world title, and with giving Sergio Martinez a run for his money in his first world title fight, I see Darren Barker bringing that IBF strap back to the UK. Winning by unanimous decision.
